Chapter 18 | Second Husband is such a Good Kisser

Qu Fan’s belly grew larger day by day, and apart from the initial lack of appetite, he seemed to never feel his pregnancy just as he had not imagined that he could actually get pregnant.

The bathtub was something that Qu Fan could not use before when he was at the welfare institution as it was a luxury to have a shower every day in such place and if there was a warm weather, then only the cold water would be used to wash, however, for winter, neither the hot water for winter was sufficient nor warm enough, so they had to be quick when bathing. Until his first year in college, he had to work everywhere to survive as he was hard-pressed for money, renting even the cheapest apartment that did not have a water heater so he needed to buy his own electric heater to boil the water for a shower instead. All of the three Miao brothers were as tall as the nine scarves⁽⁹⁾ that were almost half a head taller than him. Miao Jingchun’s coat had already been removed after entering the room so he was now only wearing a shirt which was still buttoned at the top, and when paired up with his eyeglasses, it was showing a sense of abstinence. Since his facial features were very similar to Miao Jingwen, Qu Fan felt a little shy, letting the act of the man undressing him seem warm.

 

Miao Jingchun’s eyes were on his face during this whole time so after he unfastened the last three buttons, he unexpectedly lowered his head and kissed his lips. It stupefied Qu Fan who met his gaze, but then realized that the man’s eyes were hidden behind the eyeglasses, giving an ambiguous and somewhat hazy appearance.

 

“Can I?”

 

Qu Fan blushed, “You’ve just kissed…”

 

Miao Jingchun showed a little smile in his eyes then continued to kiss him in this position, and his kissing technique was very methodical, he began sucking Qu Fan’s lips then moistening it with his tongue, next was that he reached out his tongue into his mouth, playing with the mouth all around before licking his tongue and then entangling with it bit by bit.

(8) Brain circuit (腦回路); From Pleco; I’m just surprised that the author used this metaphor since s/he typically uses formal words.

(9) Nine scarves (9巾); Unexpectedly, this is not an idiom. When deciphering the meaning of these words, I found out that the scarves or towels refers to the male ancient Chinese hats (Baidu Encyclopedia). Looking at its sizes, maybe the author is comparing their heights to a piled up nine scarves. What do you think folks?

(10) Spring breeze (春風); The “chun” character of Miao Jingchun’s name literally means spring (Pleco), and in here, Qu Fan was describing and comparing the kiss to the man’s name.

(11) Pearl; It refers to a sex toy. You might as well search it online for visuals. LOL
